A short story written in rhyme and alliteration detailing the coming of age and downfall of a man on a whimsical afternoon.

I think this is a good attempt at a first published short story, with common twists and redirects that catch the reader off-guard (although knowing the author helps the reader expect the unexpected). The story has a protagonist (whom is his own antagonist) that clearly has a struggle with mental and social relationships and behaviors, and this struggle is spilled across the pages as a sort of "blended consciousness" which somewhat resembles chaos for the reader. The art of taking the reader from mental clarity to subtle chaos and back (and forth), is something that can be strange for some readers, but others may find quite interesting (think American Psycho meets inner dialogue). My biggest critique would be to polish up the general punctuation, pauses and breaks in the composition of the paragraph structure, and tighten up the grammatical errors. Definitely looks good for a first draft though. I would be interested to see a polished and edited final version.Product details
